Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager, Professional Channel of the Southcentral Region will drive Sales Share Growth and Product penetration within the designated region by understanding and partnering with the Territory Managers and Agency Representatives to support and grow business with Wholesale Distributor customers, Buying Groups, Builders, Contractors/Installers and Specifiers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists VP & Director(s) of Sales for US-Pro Channel and Broan General Managers with setting sales strategies and implement tactics that will achieve US-Pro Channel plan objectives.
  • Responsible for recruiting, developing and retaining industry leading talent; building and managing a customer focused, goal orientated, field sales team composed of (10 total) Factory Direct and Manufacturer’s Representatives. Evaluates all team members and makes course correction recommendations when sales results are not achieved.
  • Develops and implements territory sales strategies to achieve plan objectives for Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing Showrooms, Lighting Showrooms, General Merchandisers and Building Material Distributors.
  • Leads Regional with team and customer sales training, new product introductions, sales promotions, and other sales activities. Develops and implements training promotions and merchandising of Broan-NuTone products through showrooms.
  • Develops key local builder strategies for implementation by sales organizations and supports national builder efforts.
  • Functions as Key Account Manager for national distributors and/or Buying Groups.
  • Be the voice of the Region to Corporate Broan. Communicates industry trends and competitive information to the Vice President of Sales, Sales Directors – US-Pro Channel, General Managers, Marketing and Customer Service.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, with an emphasis in Business, Communications, Engineering or Marketing. A Master’s degree in a related field is desirable but not required.
  • 5+ years of previous leadership experience in a Manufacture field sales and field sales management organization for building and/or consumer products, multi-channel distribution with revenue greater than $20MM+ in home improvement products or related industry.
  • Highly motivated, disciplined, organized and detail oriented. Demonstrated proficiency in managing analytically rigorous initiatives.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop people – both direct and across organization. Relentless positive attitude and willingness to help.
  • Strong business acumen and proven experience calling on Wholesale Distribution, Builders, Showrooms and Architects using a consultative and goal oriented sales approach.
  • A strong work ethic, hunter mentality, love of sales, and the drive to get out in the field and support existing business and/or pursue new business for the Region and Broan.
  • Previous experience utilizing a CRM tool; Salesforce or equivalent platform for project tracking and customer analysis is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and abilities, effective oral and written communicator and excellent relationship building skills.
  • Strong analytical skills leading to creative problem solving.
  • Professional demeanor, effective negotiator, cool under fire, multi-tasking capability, can-do attitude, assumes ownership for driving results.
  • Career reflects steady progression in responsibility and accomplishment.
  • Proficient in MS Office products.
  • Foster understanding of and adherence to sales processes and policies.
  • Intellectually curious with an understanding the goal is to make the business grow.
  • Valid US driver's license

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 35% of the time to visit customers and Broan events.
  • Ability to work remotely - home office with much of your time out in the field.
